CEC/GAcademy Heart Pass Project

Chedabucto Education Centre/Guysborough Academy launched their Heart Pass Project on February 8th, 2016.

How did this special journey begin? I went to Antigonish, NS with my heartpasses at the beginning of the 2015 - 2016 Academic Year at St. Francis Xavier University with a great friend and advocate Debra Humphries. Many businesses and crafters met in Columbus Field where all the student's of St. FX were getting together for part of their orientation.

We were fortunate to meet many people that day including a woman on the staff at CEC/GA. We talked about kindness and she told me of the wonderful projects happening in her school. She said it would be great to partner on a kindness project and left with a heart in hand.

Where the Heart Goes is proud to be part of CECGA's new project which launched on February 8th. The Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Committee at CEC/GA have been making thier own heartpasses. The picture shown is Miranda Purcell, a SADD student Chair, with the display and HeartPass in hand, on launch day February 8, 2016. The students are selling these Heartpasses and all proceeds will go to the Gochia Roche water project here at the school, which will provide clean water for a school in Kisii, Kenya. Each of these heartpasses has an assigned number which can be registered and followed on this website.

The students and teachers at Guysborough Academy are putting other people's interests first. Where the Heart Goes is proud to be able to follow the path of their heart as it grows and continues to help the community of Kristi, Kenya. They are a true inspiration of making a difference in our world, "One Heart at a Time"!
