On the front of each heartpass card, you will see a special graphic. Because my mom was the inspiration, I decided to take a picture of her hands holding the first heart I made for her when she was in the hospital. I then turned that picture into a heart and placed it on each card and on this site. While her hands may have been weak and feeble, they represent the strength of a mother`s love! Without a thousand words, I believe this picture tells our story for in her hands she will forever hold my heart!

Welcome to Where the Heart Goes. This website came about as a result of the relationship I shared with my mother in her final days. It continues as a way to keep people connected and to remind them of the power in paying it forward.
There is a good chance you are here because you have received a Kindness in Your Pocket Heartpass; a small clay handcrafted heart created to thank people for the kindness shown to my mother and to me during the last months of her life.
Heartpasses were born to travel and connect people in the spirit of kindness. Many who receive them first want to keep them because they represent someone reaching out. The gift is now the receiver has the opportunity to inspire
the same connection.
In the beginning, it was my mom’s hands that softened the clay for the heartpasses. Since that time the love that came through her hands now lives in my own. Never do I handcraft a heart when I do not think of the gifts we shared woman to woman. To learn more about the inspiration of the heartpasses, click on the Origin button above.
Although our world may seem a hard place at times, there is magic when we believe in one another and take time to reach out. Please help me continue to spread the kindness by passing on the heartpasses and by sharing your unique experiences.
With Gratitude,
Nita Hart
